Privacy Policy

Good Wage is an iPhone app and website that helps working adults without a college degree find office jobs and apply for them. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, where it goes, and how to delete it. Good Wage is run by Brandon Weinstein in Indiana, USA.

What we collect and why

  • Your account. Your email address and a password, or your Google account email if you sign in with Google. We use it to sign you in and to keep your profile across devices.
  • Your profile. What you tell the app or what it reads from the resume you upload: your name, phone number, city and state, work history, skills, schooling, languages, and the kinds of jobs and pay you want. We use it to find and rank jobs for you and to write your resume and cover letter.
  • Your jobs and documents. The jobs you save, the stages you log, and the resumes and cover letters the app writes for you. These stay on your phone.
  • Usage counts. How many searches and documents the app has made on your behalf each day, so we can keep the service running and fair. These counts carry your account ID, not your name, and are deleted within days.
  • Waitlist. If you join the waitlist on this website, we keep the email address you give us to tell you when the app is available.

Where your data goes

  • Our server. Your account and profile are stored with Supabase in the United States, protected so that only you can read your own profile.
  • Writing and matching help (Claude by Anthropic). When you allow it in the app, your profile and the job posting are sent to Anthropic's Claude to check a job against your background and to write your resume and cover letter. You can turn this off at any time in Settings. We send what is needed for that task and nothing more. Anthropic does not use data sent through its business API to train its models.
  • Job boards. To find jobs, the app sends job boards the kinds of jobs you want, your area and your pay floor. It never sends your name, contact details or work history to a job board.
  • Google. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and name. We do not read your Gmail unless you connect it in a future version, and that feature is off today.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. The app contains no advertising and no tracking today. If that ever changes, this policy and the app's own privacy screen will say so first.

Your choices

  • Delete your account in the app under Settings, then Delete account. This removes your login and your profile from our server immediately. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
  • Turn off writing help in Settings. The app then finds jobs with its own rules only.
  • Remove your resume from the Profile tab at any time.
  • Leave the waitlist by emailing us.

How long we keep things

Your account and profile stay until you delete them. Daily usage counts are deleted within three days. Jobs and documents on your phone stay until you delete them or the app.

Children

Good Wage is for working adults. It is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the app will show you the new version.
